With patriotic spirit and love for India in her heart Ms.Rajalaxmi Manda was the only woman to do the 1075 km PAD YATRA with the theme “Azadi se Ekta tak” meaning “Independence to Unity” starting from 2nd October, 2019 on Gandhi Jayanthi from India Gate,Delhi reaching Statue of Unity Gujarat on 31st October 2019 on the eve of Sardar Vallabhai Patel Jayanthi all along carrying the National flag in her hand for the promotion of National integrity. She braved the hot sun, lashing rains and walked the path undauntedly in turn motivating every Indian – young and old – who came across her way in her own unique and unsurpassed manner. This Pad Yatra was the culmination of her dreams as an ardent follower of Gandhian principles wherein following Narenda Modiji’s words this project was completed as a mark of 150th Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations and in remembrance of first anniversary of the World’s No.1 tallest statue – The Statue of Unity.
