As per Modi ji’s wish to create public awareness on the Citizenship Amendment Act , Ms Rajalaxmi Manda initiated the CAA awareness rally wherein she travelled tirelessly for 10 days in a bullet motor bike from Kanyakumari to Chennai covering 2050 km in January 2020 She conducted 105 meetings in 32 districts effectively reaching out to the public and made them aware that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will not take away anyone’s citizenship, rather it will provide citizenship to the religiously persecuted Hindus, Buddh, Sikhs, Christians, Jains and Parsis from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Also the fact that the act was not against Muslim or any religion was strongly reinforced. The rally was effective in reaching out to the masses, dispelling their confusion and reinforcing the importance of CAA in protecting and safeguarding our country from vested interests.
