Ram Rath Yatra
As an individual citizen, I wanted to whole heartedly thank our Hon’ble PM Sir for giving a prestigious and Priceless gift to India – “RAM MANDIR”. On behalf of the LRC – India, for the past five years, every year I am doing a program for Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi ji’s Birthday. This is our fifth year and I wanted to celebrate Hon’ble Modi ji’s birthday in a very different manner. So I have planned and decided to drive a truck for 21 days covering nearly 5125 km starting on the day of PM Modi ji’s Birthday from Rameshwaram on 17.9.2020 and reach Ramajanmabhoomi (AYODHYA) on 7.10.2020, holding 613 kg weight of Tamilnadu Traditional BELL to Samarpan at RamMandir, Ayodhya.
Ram Mandir Bhoomipooja is incomparable pride moment for 966 million Hindus. My aim of the program is spiritual Stimulation – “Dharmo Rakshati – Rakshitah”. It means that dharma protects those who uphold or protect dharma. Modi ji did the same.
I am sharing my interesting journey so far…
From the 9thof August, I started my fasting, praying for the successful completion of the Ram Rath Yatra and took a vow to break the fast only after the Yatra’s completion. For the Ram Rath Yatra, a special huge bronze bell of about 4 feet height and 3.9 feet width weighing 613 kg was designed and prepared in such a way that the OM sound reverberated with the tolling of the bell. Along with the bell, the statues of Lord Rama, Maa Sita, Lakshmana, Hanuman and Lord Ganapathy were made. In this Yatra, I have decided to drive a truck from Rameshwaram in Tamilnadu to Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, Uttarpradesh.
As a mark of beginning this Yatra, along with Dr. Archana, General Secretary of our organisation Tamilnadu chapter I have received Lord Ganapathy statue from Mr.Raju Gurukal and Mr.Selvam Gurukal along with the blessings of Maa Karumariamman, Karumariamman Temple, Anna Nagar, Chennai.
My journey started on 15.9.2020 from Chennai in the early morning hours of 5.30 am along with my mother and our organisation Vice president of Tamilnadu Mr.Rajkumar and reached Madurai in the evening. On the morning of the next day16.9.2020, we had the Video launching of Shri Narendra Modi ji’s 70th birthday video wishes from 70 countriescovering 7 continents which got completed by 12 noon. Around 1.00pm , we started our journey to receive the bell from it’s place, which was about 20 km from Madurai. We reached there but couldn’t find a crane to lift the bell. After a long and patient wait of 5 hours, we finally got the crane and completed the strenuous and difficult task of shifting the heavybell weighing more than half ton and placed it in the truck along with the idols. Then, my journey startedfrom Madurai to Rameshwaram in the evening 16.9.2020, around 7.30 pm.
I was happy to see the bell fixed with the heavily decorated deities of Lord Rama and God Vinayaka. Seeking the blessings of almighty, I prayed and left Madurai driving the heavy truck steadily. As it was very late in the night, we couldn’t find hotels and finally after long hours of searchingwe found one at Ramnad . We all had a late dinnerof uthappam at Ramanad junction and arrived at our first destination Rameshwaram at 01.30 am along with our team, and stayed with Saraswathi Amma who had been waiting for us from 6 pm to 1.00 am to receive us.

Placing the bell is a biggest thing other than that a woman(Rajylakshmi manda) driving the truck with the bell from rameshwaram to Ayodhya is very great…
